    <description>&lt;P&gt;I would assume it's missing something however that's just an asumption, I would like to know if there is a hardware limitation here or if this is simply Sony restricting support.&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Being an 8 bit panel itself is not a limiting factor unless the source device requires it, like PS4 Pro for example. For general media this has not stopped other 8 bit devices getting Netflix or Amazon HDR support. &amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;</description>

      <description>&lt;P&gt;Yes, I know officially it's not supported on this TV, however it does play via USB and it looks pretty nice.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;So at the very least the TV can play HDR content which suggests partial support.&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;So why won't they enable this for other sources? or give us access to HDR content via Netflix or Amazon app?&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Or have Sony just decided this is where they draw the line for support...&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;</description>

&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P&gt;As far as I understand things, HDR was not meant for the X80C series TV.&amp;nbsp; However due to a firmware update long ago, it seems that HDR via USB playback works - to some extent.&amp;nbsp; &lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P&gt;I can only assume that the TV does not meet the correct specifications for HDR on Amazon/Netflix&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;
