Hi, does anybody know if and when the KD-49X8305C will be able to use Alexa commands?

You can read more details about which Sony TV models support Amazon Alexa here.

Please not that you do not manually install this app, it will automatically install on supported TVs. If the app is not on the home screen, your TV may not be supported yet.

Did you try Alexa with this model if so did it work.

Mine is running Brava 4k 2015 5.1.1

I haven't updataed android because of the issues when th update was released and the fact that mine works pefectly as long as I don't use wifi and only use USB for external storage.

I'd welcome any comment on the above strategy and reassurance that an update would solve more problems than it caused.
