    <description>&lt;P&gt;So after months of working fine the arc connection of my tv is playing up. Iv taken the cable out deleted cache, turned tv off. Which has fixed it a couple of times. But then I go to bed turn it back on and the sounds gone again. Has there been an update I don’t know about? Iv just reset to factory settings and there’s still no sound . There is sound from the menu screens however. Xe9005 connected to str-dn1080&lt;/P&gt;</description>

&lt;P&gt;It sounds like you've run a few of the diagnostic checks already, but have a run through this &lt;A href="https://www.sony.com/electronics/support/articles/00020051" target="_blank"&gt;troubleshooting guide&lt;/A&gt; and see if anything fixes it.&lt;/P&gt;
