Soundbar - XF9005 ?

I have a XF9005 with a Sony Soundbar CT380. I understand the soundbar is not working correctly through the Ark socket. I need to replace this unit and note the same model isn't avavailable in the UK. I have seen the CT290 soundbar. Would this match/be compatible?

Connect to your TV over a single cable with HDMI ARC

So electronically, it looks promising.

Aesthetically we will have to leave up to you.

I note the sound bar does have lip-sync problems. If using an opitical cable as well will this help?
