I used a USB stick to watch some films and all worked OK. The stick was removed when finished with but the menu has remained on the TV. Every time I put a stick in the original menu still comes up. Any suggestions how to remove the menu please

Hi There. My son informs me that it wasnt a USB stick but instead it was a solid state 1TB external hard drive. The TV model number is KD55XD8599.
