Sony 55X85C will not output Dolby/DTS to my Yamaha soundbar

I have this tv going to a Yamaha SRT-1500 soundbase connected via the hdmi ARC ports. I also have skyQ connected to the tv hdmi1. When I set the the audio out on the tv to PCM the soundbase plays audio however Auto 1 and 2 don’t work at all. It seems the only option that works is PCM. My understanding is that Auto 1 or Auto 2 should output dolby digital but this doesn't seem to work for me. Does anyone else have this issue with their tv going into a soundbase or amp? Thanks

Hi Tom,

Have you tried the following steps below for outputting sound from an audio system.

Press the HOME button, then select [Settings].
Select [Sound] → [Subwoofer]. To output from a subwoofer, select [Subwoofer].
