In my KD 55XF8505 TV display is not working. Red light blinks 5 times

My Sony Bravia suddenly stopped displaying anything. Sony authroized repair peronnel took the tv for repair.WHen i called to check they are saying they cannot repair the TV, so they have asked sony for credit. its not even been 6 months. I got the TV around the last week of may. Wat should i expect.?
