topic Bravia 49" XG80 - Fitted & Installed Today. No sound after an hours usage!? in Android TV

Basically after an hour or so's usage sound has vanished. Gone through settings and everything is as it should be and obviously checked mute.

However, if I press the 'last channel' button just above the mute the sound literally comes on for a split second and goes off again. In addition to the bottom left of the screen, when this intermittent sound is on, there is like a scratching noise (sounds like rats biting a cable).

The TV was installed professionally and not by me, and the fact that it worked for an hour, seems to me the TV may now need changing and taken back?

Any fix? or am I missing something pretty damn obvious? (sort of thing that happens from me)

If you want to have a go at fixing it. Start by trying a soft reboot (hold down the remote power button for 10 seconds or so until you see Power Off). Next try a power off (unplug) and wait at least 5 minutes before plugging back in. Last resort try a factory reset. Note this means that you set it up as new.

https://www.sony.co.uk/electronics/support/televisions-projectors-lcd-tvs-android-/kd-49xg8096/articles/00170595
