I have a Sony KD-55AG8 4K television and just bought a HT-S350 sound bar that doesn't play, can anyone help?

Can I take it that you have connected the soundbar to the mains and switched it on?

Can I also take it that you have connected it to the TV?

If so, how?

The way I would connect this soundbar to your TV is with an HDMI cable, from the HDMI Out of the soundbar to the HDMI In on the TV that is labelled ARC.

It is important that you use this particular HDMI In, and not any of the others.

If you have tried to connect it by HDMI, check that it matches the above, and correct things if not.

If you have tried to connect it by Optical or Bluetooth, then I suggest you find or obtain an HDMI cable instead and proceed as above.

Though if you are forced to use Optical or Bluetooth for some reason, please let us know how come, and let us know what connection you have made, and how.

Hi Alexmcwilliams,

In addition to what Royabrown2 mentioned, I'd say make sure that the speaker settings of the TV are set to audio system.

Press on Home - Settings - Sound/Audio - Speakers - Audio system.

Connect both on HDMI (ARC). Have you Bravia Sync set on?
