So I have the X8309C and I'm in the UK and all I can access is Netflix and Amazon 4K video content, why can't I access Vodu, Ultraflix, M-Go e.g.

There are some very good 4K videos on YouTube.

I take it you have looked for the apps you list in the Google Play and Opera stores?

Well I want to watch movies, not youtube clips. I want to use something like Ultraflix, M-Go e.g. but there seem to be no other 4K video apps other than youtube, amazon instant and netflix.

Seriously, many streaming services are US based and have not crossed the pond to our neck of the woods. Not Sony's fault. Between Amazon Video and Netflix, they are gettibg better on thier 4K content. But for others, wait for the 4K bluray players and discs.
