Not ringing on incoming calls

I thought my phone was broken because I was not receiving any incoming calls whatsoever, Then I realized that friends were calling me but my xperia E1 was not ringing,I have taken it to the local Vodaphone shop but they had no idea although they did say that several other e1 owners had complained of the same problem,how can this be remedied?

Try an app preferences reset - Settings then Apps then tap the 3 dots then Reset app preferences then reboot and test, Take note that ringtones etc will revert back to default

Hello,

I've noticed this problem in my xperia z3+ dual and later on in my z5 dual premium.

and the reason behind this problem which I've discovered one year later is that one of the apps is blocking my incomng calls ringtune.

I dind't try this solution before (reset the apps preferences), so if it is not working try to find the apps that block your ringtune. in my case it was an application which give a reminder for prayer times.
