Xperia E1 Network connection message

I keep getting a message that says 'network connection failed, please try again' (with a sad cloud icon next to it) every time I unlock my phone if wifi connection is off.
What can I do to make that stop?

Hi @Beanna,

Welcome to the community.

It sounds like an app is trying to sync something online but can't because there's no network connection.

Can you post a screenshot of this?

I already tried to catch a screenshot but the message appeares randomly and only for a few seconds.

I'm now considering removing apps I installed one by one to see which one is causing it.

I removed Pinterest yesterday, so far the message hasn't appeared again.
