Double tap to wake is back!

Glad to see that double tap to wake is back! Not like the XZ3 where it just turns on ambient display, but now takes you to the lockscreen like the older phones.

Never missed it, but I did notice a setting for it.

Gesture navigation is there as well, so everybody should be happy now.

I don't have the device yet, but as far as I check the manual, "no double tap to wake" mentioned.

It is actually critical for me to make purchase diecision, if it has one or not.

So I'd really appreciate if someone can post screenshot.

it seems there are no shots posted on the page. admins need to approve photo posts I think but there are no pending posts up there.

Hello everyone and I'm glad to hear that all of you are happy that the "tap to wake" function is back!

@Lutkis, you can find the setting in Settings > Lock screen & security > Lock screen preferences > Tap to show lock screen > "On", or in Settings > System > Gestures > Tap to show lock screen.

Not really sure why the setting is in two places since it does the same according to what I have tested at least (even the setting is called the same).

@azzido2, that's a good suggestion! You can always use the kudos button instead of replying as an alternative, if you prefer using that instead!

@Jonyny, the setting can be found in, Settings > Lock screen & security > Lock screen preferences > Tap to show lock screen > "On", or in Settings > System > Gestures > Tap to show lock screen.

@joima, the picture has been approved, it was the last thing I did on Friday, but it takes a few minutes for it to show up even after it has been approved by Staff/Moderators!
