Not able to receive OTA update?

Hi. Just got my Xperia 1 (model J9110) today with firmware version 55.0.A.2.205 out of box.

But knowing thr latest firmware version should be 55.0.A.2.278 as everyone is talking about it online, I cannot seem to gey my phone to detect the update and receive OTA via the setting menu.

Can one of the admins on this forum get back to me please.. which I could provide my IMEI number for verifying if an update is available for my device? Thanks

Hi @Urbanova, welcome to our forum and congratulations on your new device!

You can go to my profile and send me a private message with your IMEI number and I can check if there is an update available for your device.

To find the IMEI number, open up the phone application and type in *#06#.

I think its the problem with sony update servers...

Today I cant update my XZ3 and I know that there is a new update available I checked my IMEI...

Also Xperia Companion is not able to check for updates...

Yesterday everything was fine...

@zlays, I saw that it was solved in the PM you sent me, so there was some temporary hiccup with the update server most likely.

@Urbanova, could you please try and search for software updates now again and see if you are able to both find it and install it?
