NFC option in quick settings

Hello,

I just updated my phone to Android 12 after 6 months since it was released🤦🏼‍♂️. And Kinder Surprise: i don't have anymore an NFC icon in my quick settings. Of course, I have Wallet which is unavailable in my country, but who knows, it might be useful🙄.

Come on Sony! For enabling my NFC i have to go to Settings, Connections and so on.

Not only that you didn't enabled the option in Android 11, now it's dead and gone🤦🏼‍♂️.

Simple things man, simple things.

Last Sony phone that I will buy.

Is there no way to edit the quick settings menu to add NFC there?

And what's the model of your device exactly?

No, there is no way for adding NFC in the quick settings menu.

I tried, but nothing.

I gave up..it is always on....

My device: Sony Xperia 10 II

Hi @AlexManea.

In quick settings, swipe down once more and you will find the pen in the lower left corner, just beside the software version displayed.

Tap on it, then slide up in the next screen and you will be able to add NFC symbol to the active quick settings menu.

Hello @AlexManea, keep us updated with the outcome! Just tap the edit icon on the quick settings panel, and then drag and drop the (NFC icon) into the upper part of the screen.

Internet, Bluetooth, Location, Auto-rotate, Device controls, Nearby Share, Stamina mode, Torch, Do not Disturb, Wallet (which isn't enabled), Airplane mode, Cast, Night Light, Hotspot, Screen record, Auto Shazam, Alarm, Invert colours, Data Saver, Dark Theme, Extra dim, Storage, Focus mode, Bedtime mode, Data roaming, wifi calling, Screen mirroring, Calculator.

Here are the options.

You're right.

Once, a few years ago the option for hotspot had disappeared from the quick settings.

What I did was make a shortcut in the home screen.*

The hotspot choice returned after 2 more software updates.

It seemed that Google has made it vanish.

So be patient.

I'll escalate your question and I'm confident NFC will return on quick settings.

*Regrettably it's not possible to create a shortcut on the home screen.

How to create a Settings shortcut on the home screen:

- Tap and hold on an empty spot on the home screen

- In the upcoming window tap on Widgets.

- Scroll down to Settings

- Touch and hold the settings symbol

- Choose an option from the list.
