After Android Update - Cannot get into mobile Xperia Z2

Since I cannot find my first post I'm trying again....

Hello there!

I just updated my mobile phone via WLAN. After that it said I changed my SIM card. Which is not true. Switched it off and on: I type in my SIM Card password and it wants another password. And I have absolutely no clue which one.

I use the AVG Anti-Theft-Protection. But this doesnt seem to be the required password. I tried it. I also tried to remove the SIM card and put it back. The problem still remains.

So I can only use the emergency mode. Heres a picture of what the start-screen looks like now:

This is what I am asked for when I touch the screen (it also says "To unlock swipe screen")

Both is german. In the middle of the first picture it just says "Connected to PC" - But my PC cannot find the mobile since it's only on the emergency mode.

Second picture just says "Please type in password".

I have absolutely no idea what to do.

I suspect this is AVG. Have you tried this: https://support.avg.com/SupportArticleView?l=en_US&urlname=Unlock-a-device-locked-by-AVG-AntiVirus-for-Android ?

Yep, I tried that too. The problem still remains. The screen also looks different when AVG asks for the password. After I use that one it changes to the same screen as in picture two. And the AVG password is false it says.

But you didn't have any PIN or password set for the lock screen before the update? The phones builtin PIN/password security for the lockscreen should not be able to enable itself by a software update.

Do you have myXperia enabled? If so, try locking the phone with another password from myxperia.sonymobile.com. You can also try changing it using Android Device Manager on android.com/devicemanager

Okay, finally I got it: It wanted the "old" or better "first" password I used for the AVG Anti-Theft-Protection. Pretty glad I still knew it...
