Z3 Compact not able to do things while on call

I've noticed with my Z3 Compact that it doesn't allow me to really do anything in a call. Like reply to a text, etc. Where as with other android devices, and apple products I have been able to do while doing same things. It allows you to get into message I believe but won't type anything in. Definitely not just a touch screen issue. Any ideas? Hoping lollipop fixes this issue. Any idea when that update is too?

You should be able to multitask, so you have a protective case or film that might be blocking the proximity sensor?

Its nothing to do with the proximity sensor. I take phone away from ear and phone comes on. And im able to do things normally without being on phone. And I can navigate thru phone on a call. It just wont allow text or such

From your Home screen

1. Tap the Application screen icon.
2. Find and tap Settings > Apps.
3. Swipe to the All tab.
4. Find and tap on an app called smartkey.
5. Uninstall it.
6. Restart the phone

No problem. Glad it worked. And don't worry about smart key it is usually for headphones.
