topic Power Problems in Cyber-shot compact cameras

Our WX500 will not turn on properly. The lens goes in and out every few seconds and teh screen flashes but does not come out. I can only stop it doing this by taking the battery pack out and putting it back in again. Hit the on button again and it starts the same lens action. Any ideas?
