RX100 M2 Mechanical noise

My RX100 ll has developed some sort of mechanical noise akin to an electric shaver when in use which is very annoying. I have done a reset but this hasn't made any difference. Has anyone else had this problem, and if so is it easy to have fixed if I send it back to Sony?

I would recommend getting in touch with Sony support as right now based on what you said it might needs to be inspected by an engineer.

Thanks Skynet404, I have come to the same conclusion. I've sent it back and it's being looked at by Sony as I write.
