F11 Z1E - Express Card problems

I have a Vaio F11 with an Express Card slot.

I've tried putting a valid card in the slot but, apart from a lot of disk activity, I don't get any indication that the computer has recognised the inserted card.

Anyone have any ideas?

What is the make and the type of the ExpressCard?

It's a Sony SxS Pro 32GB.

They're used on the XDCAM range.

I've used it successfully for many years in a TZ11XN Vaio laptop.

Sorry but I don't have any personal experience of this card.

I wonder if it is Windows 7 compatible without a driver upgrade?

There is some support on the Sony Professional website and I see there is an updated SxS Card Management Utility dated August 2012 which may be worth a try.
