Help! This device cannot start. (Code 10) Sony VGN-FZ21M Windows 7

Hello Peeps!

Dont really use the CD drive on my laptop until recently and realised I have a problem with error code 10. I have checked the latest driver is installed with the auto check and still cant get it to work.

Any advice on what I can do would be much appreciated

Error Code 10 is the 'catch all' code when the system cannot discover a cause for the problem.

In the majority of cases, this indicates a hardware fault or a broken or bad connection to the drive.

Check the connections but if they are OK you may need a replacement drive.
