cannot recover my vaio vpcee3eoe

having lost hdd to failure, i cannot recover my laptop using sony vaio media all i get is

1. insert your installationion disc and restart you computer but nothing happens other than black screen

any help greatly appreciated

Hi shadow971959 and welcome.

The usual procedure is to insert the first Recovery Disc -> Turn on the Vaio -> Press the ASSIST button -> Choose 'Start from Media'

At the Vaio Care Rescue screen you can then select the 'Troubleshoot' and 'Recovery' options.

hi thanks for the advice/help, but that doesnt work either just getting black screen and mouse pointer

my disks may be damaged but i am not getting a message saying so, hdd checks out fine, might have to buy another set of original set up disks and try that.
