Can’t log into Vaio e series windows 8 computer

I have recently tried to log into my old laptop but I can’t remember the password, I don’t have the password disk and it won’t let me restart it to factory settings when It starts to boot up. My account is the only account on the laptop so I can’t log into another account and reset it.
