i HAVE A CHARGING PROBLEM, MY LAPTOP RUNS OK WHEN PLUGGED INTO AC ADAPTER, WHEN PLUGGED INTO CHARGER IT SHOWS ITS CHARGING FOR APPROX 45 SECONDS THEN STOPS CHARGING, TAKE IT OFF CHARGE AND THE PC SHUTS DOWN, I HAVE NOTICED LATELY BTHE BATTERY DOES NOT SEEM TO LAST VERY LONG, COULD IT BE THE BATTERY IS U/S.

Welcome to the Sony Community.

To check if it's the battery itself or your system leaking power, try charging the battery fully last thing at night and then remove the battery.

If you then put the battery back next day and let me know if it has lost the charge?

The battery will not charge at all. The yellow light comes on, on the laptop, as soon as I disconnect the charger the PC switches off. It's OK with the battery removed and plugged into charger.

It does sound like the battery is dead or has a poor connection. What does Vaio Care sday about the battery condition?
