So i have a sony vaio SVE1511L1EW which has worked fine up until recently. Now i recieve a messsage which states 'A disk error occured, press CTRL+ALT+DEL to restart' have tried Vaio Assist (doesnt work, boots up on a black screen). Limited settings on Bios ver. R0180E5 (it does say Hard Disk Drive 320GB however I don't know how to tell if the computer recognisws the hdd or not) the only advanced option given is enabling the intel virtualisation technology. I have tried almost everything suggested on other posts & sites. Any suggestions? If the only option is to replaxd the hd then which one would i have to buy?

Hi Lksvct,

Based on what you included in the post I don't think thee's much that can be advised outside of getting your VAIO checked by a service centre. You can find the closest one to you using this link:

https://locator.sony/en_GB/servicecenters

Win_88
