I am finding that the Touch Pad is very eratic with the Pointer sometimes having a mind of its own, anyone else with this problem? Thanks.

Have you tried adjusting the tapping options of the touchpad.?

These should be found in Control Panel > Hardware & Sound > Mouse

I am having the same problem as are many people when you search the internet, Great machine rubbish touch pad most disappointing when you think you are buying the best. HP for me next time you get what you expect.

Have you tried going to Vaio Control Center and disabling some of the fancy, never used options like 'PINCH' and 'FLICK'? It may help.

So it is like that for everybody, wow.

even mine as the same problem really annoying, and loads of other problems, impossible to right without throw the laptop in front of somenone.

do you sorted out the problem?? any suggestion??

while I am writind the laptop is doing whatever he want.
