Laptop Repair

Hi,

I am posting here because I am really at a loss as to what to do next concerning my laptop which has got some major problems rendering it unusable.

Just to give a bit of background, the laptop is a VGN-FE48G bought in Singapore form Sony just under two years ago and is no longer under warranty. Recently, I started having issues which appeared related to the graphics card as artefacts would appear when playing a game which would lead to the computer crashing completely. I have tried every possible solution available to me and have come to the conclusion that it is simply hardware failure; most likely an overheated GPU.

I am now looking for suggestions as to what I should do next. Does anybody have any experience of getting their Vaio repaired here in the UK. Any advice or suggestions are welcome, I Live in London by the way so no repair centres out in Scotland please

I have attached a picture of the problem in question if anybody is interested.

The problem appears as soon as the machine is turned on. I will have a look at Tottenham Court Road which I had already thought about as the best chance I might have.

Although taking those screws off the back and having a peek inside is very tempting I do not have the expertise or tools to deal with anything I might encounter.

Thanks for the quick reply btw.
