nothing working drivers missing

can anyone help i've a vgn a15hp had to reinstall xp now no sound no idea what card is installed all it says legacy audio. and no drivers for mass storage space multimedia audio controller and pci modem tried getting them from updates says the downloads but when i update now to download they do not come down even with the boxs tick all i get is automatic update i really stuck

Did you use the Vaio recovery utility to restore your Vaio or did you install your own version of XP.?

Do you have vgn a195hp.?

If so have you downloaded and installed the Original Drivers Package for your VAIO, if not use the following link to download: VGN A195HP Original Drivers Package

thanks for your help i have done that but it does not contain any drivers only files if that is what they are how do i install them. someone had wiped this before and did not make a copy of the recovery disc so they was wiped.

Hi muppet64,

the A195HP as far as I am aware did not have a recovery partition but came with a set of recovery disc's..

If you want to return your Vaio to the factory settings, ie XP and sony supplied applications etc, then you can purchase a set of recovery disc's for your Vaio from Vaio support, use the following link to find the contact details: Sony Vaio Support
