DPC Dropouts & Fan Control on CS21 Series

Hi everyone!

I bought a Sony Vaio VGN-CS21 S/T laptop and already have 2 problems with it.

1. I didn't find a menu to manually control the fan speed. Why would I want to do that? In standard mode, the fan runs absolutely silent until the notebook heats up to a certain value. After it has measured this certain value, the fan goes on very loud for a short time (~5 seconds) and remains quiet until it heats up again, about every 15-30 seconds. That's just annoying! BIOS update, Sony?

2. (and the much bigger problem)
I get DPC dropouts all the time in random 20 to 50 second delays. That means, if I try to stream audio (probably via an external audio device like my M-Audio Fast Track Pro or Tascam US122) with ANY media player, I get audio dropouts ("knacks") of about 16ms-40ms every once in a while, which is ULTIMATELY annoying. Especially, if you want to record or just playback audio.
I did the usual tricks to solve that issue, but until this moment I wasn't successful. Here is what I tried:

- Manually disabled onboard-audio-drivers, network-drivers, dvd-drive and everything else that my notebook doesn't neccessarily need to run via Device Manager
- Uninstalled most of the pre-installed crap that runs in the background but still there are running approx. 70 tasks (on a brandnew notebook!!!) that I can't tell whether I need them or not
- Disabled all those Auto-Features (like harddrive indexing, system backup processes, windows defender etc.)
- Installed modified graphics drivers

Advice would be very appreciated, since this is advertised as a MULTIMEDIA notebook!
