Installing Amazon app on Sony TV

I have a Sony KDL-42W805A. Will I be able to install Amazon Prime directly or do I need to get hold of a firestick?

Hi Ed,

Does your TV not have the Amazon app on it already? Double check in Apps. If it has the app and you have an Amazon Prime account, you can just sign in on the app. If you still need to create an Amazon Prime account, follow the instructions here. You don't need a firestick to do any of this.

Hi Ed,

I think it's best to contact Sony Support about this here, as the info I found was from the Q&A section of the KDL-42W805A support page, which suggests that the KDL-42W805A should have the Amazon app installed already.
