KDL-32WD756 - infobar/banner won't go away

I'm currently running an HP Envy notebook and PS4 through this TV.

The infobanner keeps popping up every 30 seconds with the notebook - I've tried swapping HDMI cables and changing the ports but the problems persists.

Sony insist it's an issue with the notebook as the problem doesn't occur with the PS4 - I've been back and forth with HP for a couple of weeks now and all they've been able to suggest is to change the Idle TV standby to off - I've done this but it makes no difference.

Could anyone suggest a solution? This is driving me mad.

Welcome to our community!

If the issue happens only with your notebook and not with other external devices (the PlayStation 4 or others if there are any) then it makes sense to be an issue with the notebook.

It could be related to the notebook constantly sending bursts of the signal to the TV as often the info banner would appear when changing inputs or changing digital channels. I'm afraid it could be a compatibility issue that could not be fixed.
