KD-43FX7093 FREEVIEW PLAY EPG SCROLL BACK NOT WORKING

When I call up the EPG I cannot scroll back to previous days programmes to view them via the catch-up apps - surely that is the whole point of Freeview Play? When I try to scroll back using the left arrow key the EPG just throws me to a catch-up app where I have to search for the required programme from scratch. In sum, I cannot play a catch-up programme directly from the EPG. Any suggestions as to how I fix this??

Maybe updating the firmware of the TV to the most recent version released could fix this. You can find it here.
