BBC iPlayer app on Bravia KDL-32W653A tries to load then crashes then drops out and TV restarts

Please help! iPlayer app won't work on Bravia KDL-32W653a. Have checked software update and internet content update. All up to date. App tries to load and either gets stuck on loading and crashes, or loads but then crashes when you try and sleect a programme. Problem has been going on intermittently for a few months, but recently got worse and can't use iPlayer now.

Don’t know a fix but experiencing the same issues as described on a KDL-55W905A. Tried same fixes and now can’t use it. Will be looking to see if something from iPlayer side causing issue

Found a reference in BBC iPlayer support site saying they know there are issues with iPlayer on some connected TVs and they are investigating
