Connecting SRS-ZR5 Speakers to HT-XT2 sound bar

Hi. Please help I’m new to this.

I have a HT-XT2 sound bar and I’m trying to get two STS-ZR5 speakers hooked up to the rear. I’ve done the set up on the sound bar and it shows that the wireless surround sound is connected. When I test it the noises come out of the correct speakers. Each speaker has a green link light and the power light shows green. All this but my speakers do not push through any sound when watching TV.

What have I missed?

You have either missed setting the volume right in the setup of ht-xt2

You are watching none surround tv show/movie.

Try playing some Spotify music, and you will hear the speakers work

I can’t see where I would set up the volume on the HT-XT2.

I’ve got the Wireless Surround as “connected”. I’ve got the surround speaker setting at 2dB and when I put the test tone to on everything works.

I’ve not set up Bluetooth separately as it seems like it should work but should I set that up too?
