Dearest community,
We are a bunch of people testing Sony devices. Sometimes we stay in the shadows letting Sony screwing up by itself, sometime we shout about things that SHOULD NEVER ever exist for such a premium trademark. More, we are helping clients to solve their issues and to make indeed like.no.other smartphone trademark experiences.
So lately we reached a Xperia 1 IV (XQ-CT54 - check the exif!) and we tested partially with these conclusions that would be amazing if you can send them in a way to Sony engineers to be improved...
1. Very bad/odd/old pixel processing in many situations (shots took in Basic mode in the link below). It really needs a basic computational mode for basic shooting: https://www.dropbox.com/sh/kt7aay4jgyboohr/AABk6GIC-pCklmhvBv-U7lVQa?dl=0
2. The building quality it seems very bad as long as sand particles are creeping between the margins and the glass screen... Have a look:
3. And not the last nor least: GETTING HOT!!! Dearest, did you know that every phone that has waterproof/water-resistant protection and under too much heat from inside or outside the isolators are getting weaker and weaker and bye bye whatever protection certificate it has? We are working in partnership with a service center and we were told that if the phone is in too much sun heat or cpu heat worse: both, event after few hours it was never under any waterproof/rezistance certificate. So why are these devices so expensive?! Software, hardware?!
In the name of Sony and still curious or die hard fan users send these to be fixed immediately!
With great sadness for users and Sony to implement its ideas in real facts.

Dearest Sony community,
The users of the TW Customized the X1 mk4 wants to thank the ones helping them to solve the below issues:
1. The upgrade to 64.1.A.0.929 was made 2 days ago for Taiwan Customization and improvements were made to all customizations in this upgrade (tested!).
2. The burned screen was solved, and he gives a sample of it. Sony add some kind of darker margins (look at the older samples in this thread!)... For me also, weird, but really amazing!
3. The menu has now for both sims the option of activating internet while in call if one is disabled.
For that we give many thanks from our team to who was implied to send these to Sony.
BUT...
In addition, for who is 'secretly' wanting to help, there are still issues didn't solve at all, and take note that some of us bought this device at a higher price than X1 mk5 at its release, and it's unfortunate! Below is a list of these unresolved issues:
1. Bokeh is still the trashiest for the front camera in a smartphone to date. Even its lower devices like 10 and Ace are much better developed to have face integration. It's purely a software issue that MUST be solved for 1 mk4. Those who has the 1 mk4 device knows better!
2. Shooting manual between 64-200 ISO at 1s shutter speed the shot has lots of burned pixels from the matrix of the software/drivers, check the 2 samples below (took one after another) to see the fact.
3. Bad quality JPEG for low light by telephoto sensor (look below samples)! Bad HDR shooting (tons of ghosting)! Very low light from software video shooting (HDR mode improves too little) and very bad torch in photo/video/lantern. In photo mode the LED is twice stronger than in torch, and it's very bad for video (at least), a fact that it can be improved by software upgrade (screen was solved by it!).
Thank you so much for helping, but please tell these also to Sony to help its devices and users much faster and better!
