Fingerprint scanner overly sensitive
Hi all,
Not sure what's happened but has anyones Xperia 5ii fingerprint scanner gotten a lot more sensitive to palm contact when holding your phone?
It's never happened in the past fortnight since getting my phone, but now every brush my palm/bottom of my finger where it joins the hand it makes contact with the FPR and buzzes as if to acknowledge contact.
This is when the phone is on and active, not when locked.
Any advice?

Hi there,
Not at all - this is something that has started happening in the first 10 or so days using my phone.
I am not sure if it is a bug as I had to re-register my fingerprints, but now everytime I graze against it with my palm it buzzes – something that had never happened when taking the phone out of the box.
Anyone?

Ok, what about trying to put your device on safe mode and check of the same thing will happen or not, mainly safe mode will disable the functionality of any 3rd party apps on your device, if the issue doesn't happen anymore in safe mode , it means that the buzzes that happen is because of a a 3rd party app that use the fingerprint option.

Hmmm. This must be a bug as after a few days of this issue, it now seems to have randomly gone. 😶
Most likely a 3rd party app, yet I haven't installed or uninstalled anything so... happy days I guess.

Yeah if it was gone on safe mode, then yes it mostly was caused by an app. Thanks for sharing this update.
