Hi, I am pleased with my A 68, apart from the battery life, and need a vertcal grip. I am only getting 200 to 300 shots per battery, not the 480 shown in the spec. I have turned off the usual suspects to try and increase battery life. One is not listed on the Sony site, but on looking closely at the camera base, I find that the one from my A77 fits on a dry run. Before I put batteries in and switch it on, is there any chance of damage, and will the control buttons work? Not particularly worried about the controls, merely extending battery life.

Ok thanks for your reply
I'm going the other way I.e. from E mount back to a mount
I have a A3000 but due to the price of lenses i can't justify
Keeping it, you need seriously deep pockets to use the e mount
System, you can buy a good selection of a mount lenses for the
Price of just one e mount which to me is ridiculous and these Sony lenses
Are even more than canon or Nikon so I think Sony has shot itself in the foot !
