Cannot pair Bravia KD-49XF7596 with HT-SF200 Sound Bar

Purchased above equipment two weeks ago.

Can anyone advise if when changing the volume / bass / mode settings on the soundbar, the changes should be shown on the tv screen? The only messages to be seen on screen are the TV Speakers Active or Sound System Speakers Active. Difficult to judge without a visual representation.

The soundbar is connected via an HDMI cable to ARC socket on the TV.

Have tried reading the manual, but am no further forward. Thanks for any assistance.

Hi @Flightlevel350

I have had a quick look at your HT-SF200 manual and agree this basic model does not appear to have an onscreen display. However it should show the volume on the TV (make sure you are using the TV Remote). You need to understand HDMI Control and Bravia Sync in the manual.

If it had an onscreen display the HT-SF200 Remote would have a [Home] and [Display] button.

Sorry I cannot help, but somebody with the same soundbar may have some ideas.

Just a customer like yourself, so take any advise with a pinch of salt

Thank you for the response. The soundbar does work, it's just a bit annoying that you cannot see which mode it is in on screen.
