KD43X8309CBU connecting to Stereo

Hope someone can help.  Just opened new TV and really impressed so far.  Only issue I have is when I connect the RCA cables to the Audio output on the back of the TV and then connect that to my amp, I get no sound at all.

Worked fine on my old 37" Bravia so guessing its a setting that im missing somewhere.  Would really appreciate a bit of help if someone knows what im doing wrong.

Cheers

I think you might find the RCA/Phono sockets are INPUTS... How are they labelled?

The usual method for connecting these sets is via optical or ARC (HDMI) - If you're connecting an analogue stereo you might need an 3.5mm stereo jack to phono lead of the appropriate length plugged into the 'headphone' socket on the side...  It might also be necessary to fit some 'pads' or attenuators in the line.

Thanks for the advise.  Just had another look and it is in input rather than output.  As I dont have an amp with optical input, I'm guessing i would then need something like this to run from the optical output on the TV to the RCA input on the amp?

I can't get your link to work; but no... That's overkill...

Your set will have a 'headphone' output socket at the side... This is a 3.5mm Jack socket. That seems to be the analogue audio output of the set... Try this...
