Hi - I have purchased an LG SH2 soundbar to connect to my KD43XE7079 and am having no joy getting any sound out of it. I know it works as it will play music via Bluetooth from my phone. I found instructions on the Sony site that says switch the audio output setting from tv to audio system here: https://www.sony.co.uk/electronics/support/articles/00014997
but it it fails to tell you how to do this on the tv. I’ve played with the audio menu options from what I can tell, but there is still no sound coming from the soundbar. Connecting via HDMI is not an option for this model, this is an optical cable only product. I’d really appreciate some help😁

Hi @PaulieC,
how did you attempt to connect the soundbar?
Wired (Toslink/HDMI) or wireless (bluetooth)?

Hi @PaulieC
As you don’t have an Android TV I am shooting in the dark. On the soundbar are you certain the input is set to Optical (light on front, Select the input source to OPTICAL by pressing F button repeatedly). The Sync Menu is displayed by pressing “SYNC MENU”. A button just under the power button on your TV Remote. Select Audio System under Speakers.
Hi - it connected via a digital optical cable. I think this is my only option. It does not have an hdmi port
Hi - though I can see the speakers option, it is not selectable - it’s greyed out. Could this mean it can’t detect the soundbar?
