Hi, I bought a SonyBravia 49XD7005 LED HDR 4K Ultra HD Android TV in Nov 2016 and it has started developing horizontal lines. The lines are appearing predominantly on the bottom section of the screen and portion of the screen below the lines are flickering as well. I have tried performing a factory reset but that didn't solve the issue. Has anyone had similar issues? How did you go about fixing this? Does it need a new panel altogether or is just a bad connector / ribbon cable/ TCON board issue?

Do you have any other devices connected to the TV?

If so, can you please test w/o other devices and w/o antenna plugged in?

If the problem persists please contact service. If not, then there might be an issue with one of the connected devices or the antenna.

Hi Peter,

Thanks for your response, no other devices connected. I have only connected to wifi to perform the update as you can see the image downloading the latest firmware.

Initially when the problem occurred this started like 2 line above and 2 lines below and has gone worse by the day

Hi

I agree with Peter here as the best thing would be to check with a Sony service centre. You may be able to have it replaced for a price depending on the condition and the available units in the service centre:
