Hello,
Could Sony Europe please release firmware v112.627.030.1 for the A95L? This firmware provides much needed fixes for problems the set has had since launch 14 months ago (poor Dolby Vision Gradation in dark scenes, eARC sound dropouts, posterisation in some streaming content) as well as promised features such as Voice Zoom 3 and Prime Calibrated Mode.
This has been available in the rest of the world for 3 weeks now and it’s unacceptable that European owners of the A95L are still forced to wait for these much needed fixes and feature updates.
Come on Sony Europe!
Hello,
can someone advise the latest firmware that will work with a 55A95L?
im experiencing a few issues, sound drop out to receiver (have to restart TV), pulsing sound in AV (disappears when hdmi disconnected) and inconsistent control of hdmi devices (some times they don't turn off on command.
That update is US, and therefore U/S for UK users 😢
I've downloaded and installed the UK firmware 112.628.050.1 EUA, which is for Bravia 7/8/9, so far, TV working. Longer term it remains to be seen if it fixes my sound issues.
Update: firmware took successfully.....
But the firmware appears to nuke AFD (auto format detection) on some channels. For example
dolby digital is passed through the TV to the receiver fine for most channels when the sound field is set to AFD, but when using ITV HD or Channel 4 (through SkyQ), the sound drops out and sometimes voice channel is played through the sub or only background channels are audible. The signal information confirms the signal the TV is receiving from Sky is dolby encoded.
Changing the sound field setting to "Multi" or "2 channel" cures the issue for all channels, AFD works on Sky channels such as Sky Sport .etc
Slim possibility it might actually be the receiver, not the TV, as prior to turning the power off at the wall, the receiver was also failing to connect to the internet (despite several attempts to reconnect to wifi or use a ethernet connection).
Will continue to have a play around, possible need to reset the receiver to factory settings.
The purpose of updating the firmware was to stop total sound loss to the receiver, sound could only be restored by restarting the TV.
