My Xperia E4 won't charge more than 9%?

I've had my phone (Sony Xperia E4) for about 6 months now, without any problems. However since Monday this week my phone has been charging slower and slower. I found for a weird reason that this sometimes depended on the socket the charger was in. However since about 2 days my phone isn't charging any further than 9%. When it's on even with all the apps switched off, internet and everything else I can possibly switch off to save battery, it says the battery is draining faster than charging, and when the phone's switched off and it's charging, regardless of the socket, it won't charge further than 9%. I previously had an Xperia E3 for 2 years without any problems. I'd bought this one, after having lost the E3, thinking the E4 might be more advanced. It would be nice if it lasts at least the same length of time as the previous. Any suggestions on how to charge the battery properly again?

Hi @yungpandana, welcome to our community!

I'm sorry to hear about your phone. Slightly_frowning_Face

Have you tried to charge your phone using the USB cable that was included together with your phone and a computer? If you have, was it charging over 9%, If you haven't done that and you have a computer at hand, please try that!

If you have another Xperia charger or if you have a friend, colleague or family member that also have an Xperia device you can ask them nicely if you can borrow their charger and see if you can charge it over 9%!

You can also try and recalibrate the battery in your phone. To do that, let the battery run out > press and hold the OFF-button on the back of your phone > charge your phone while it's powered off for 4-5 hours > start the phone again and see if it has charged to more than 9%.

Let me know how it goes!
