3D Blu-Ray films don't play on my KDL-40HX853 from my Sony BDP-S790

Hi.

Without changing any cables or hardware I can no longer watch 3D Blu-Ray disks on my Sony TV.

I am sure this is due to an automatic software update to either my Sony 3D Blu-Ray Player (BDP-S790) or my Sony TV (KDL-40HX853).

I have attached photos of the message I see on screen for Starwars Awakening and Gravity.

Is it possible to roll-back software updates so I can undo what Sony have done?

Any help or advice would be great.

ThanksGravityGravityStarwarsStarwars

P.S - I have tried to update my TV's firmware but am told that I have the latest version - Picture Below

If you have'nt touched anythign for a long time, it's possible hdmi pin are dirty, unplug an dmplug back those.

Once done to be sure resynch hdmi component of ur system via the setting (if u're using bravia synch feature)

Hi. Thanks for the comment. I did clean my HDMI cable following your
suggestion and looked at my Sync Menu on both TV and 3D Blu-Ray player.

I managed to resolve the connection issue by scrolling through the
screen and Video settings on my Blu-Ray player. I took the resolution
setting off 'Auto' and forced it into 1080p. I then went back to the 3d
Blu-Ray and Hey-Presto, it displayed in 3D.

I'm not sure why my player couldn't automatically change the output
resolution to match the 3D Blu-Ray but at least I know how to
work-around this now.

Regards. Colin.
