BDV-E380 will not power up

Hello, hope someone can help. Had my bluray home cinema for a while. Sometimes it wouldn't get beyong the welcome message on the front display and i would have to switch the power off for about 5 minutes and start again. Sometimes \i had to do this several times before everything fully loaded up and i could get the sound from my tv through he home cinema speakers.

Now it will not go beyond the welcome message. Just flashes up welcome - makes a few sounds - then switches itself off completely - it will not respond to the remote control or the power button. Nothing happens it just doesnt switch on beyond this stage.

Any help/advice will be greatly appreciated.

Hi there

A couple of suggestions:

• If you have another HDMI cable spare, try replacing the HDMI cable (or swap them around from another device) - more as a test than anything
• When switched on, on the main unit itself (ie not the remote control), press and hold the "PLAY" button and "VOL - " together for more than 5 seconds - this will reset the screen resolution (if it is that)
