BDV-E880 subtitle problem

Hello,

i have Sony BVD-E880 Home Cinema System,

but when i play .mkv file from usb hdd i dont have a subtitle

need to burn in on .mkv file ,

other i play a Blu Ray AVC mkv with integrated subtitles in original pgs but subtitles never show

do u anybody know a salution for this question ?

how to play .mkv with external file subtitles ?

Hi,

i doubt very much Sony will involve themselves in making these files any easier to read as with most people downloading copyright content will experience,

Sony are very strict with copyrighted material hence the problems with playback with or without subtitles, there does not seem to be any easy way to get Sony players or tv's to recognise .srt files, i've tinkered with a few bits of different software to try and find an easy way but have given up.
