HT-MT300 Sound bar - not much bass / sound coming from sub

Hi all,

I just bought a Sony HT-MT300 after giving it a try at my local Currys PC World. In the store, I linked my phone via Bluetooth and listened to some music. The bass coming out of the sub was great and I could feel air shooting out of the sub with every beat. 

I bought myself one, brough it home and set it all up fine but there's hardly any sound / bass coming from the sub at all. I even tried the exact same song as I tried in the store but still very little bass coming from the sub.

I've tried the secure link but this didn't help. Does anyone know how I could fix this problem without returning it?

completely the same story here, bought it last week, great sound in the shop, not much at all at home. tried everything in the manual, tried different inputs (phone, blue ray, various tv channels), even different room away from any potential interference, not much more than a low humming still. quite disappointing really, now back to the shop ...
