I have been using the Sony RDR-HXD 995 DVR for almost 3 years now and recently come up with an interesting problem. I like watching the foreign crime series that BBC4 shows but recently they have started to broadcast these back-to-back; both The Killing and Spiral are shown on Saturday nights 2 episodes at a time.
I recorded these with the Series Link and find that the second episode has the first 30 seconds or so chopped from the recording. It seems that the recorder shuts down after the end of the first episode and then has to go through the power-up sequence to record the second episode. Once, it did not even record the 2nd episode (luckily BBC4 repeats the episodes later in the week).
I have been trying to find some way of disabling the auto-shutdown after the end of the first episode but haven't found anything in the setup. Any help would be gratefully received.
