UBP-X700 intermittent black screen

I have a brand new UBP-X700 connected to an LG 43UK6300PLB.

The picture randomly keeps going black for a second or so.

Highly annoying.

Yes it has the latest software update.

Also i can't get back into settings as every time i press the "Home" button it seems to lose it's connection to the TV.

Seriously unimpressed.

Hi @babysnakes33, welcome to the community.

This is often a conflict with the HDMI 'Deep Colour' or frame rate settings. Have a look at this article and see if something there works.

It seems buying a fast HDMI cable "does" actually make a difference!

Using the new cable allowed me back into the home screen to do a "reset all" and now it's playing discs with no problem & the mechanical buzzing sound has miraculously vanished as well.

As far as the Deep Colour is concerned my TV automatically turns it on, now with no problems.
