Hi there

I suppose it depends what you want them for, for example some dvd players may support one type or the other, or more modern ones can support both. Its worth double checking what discs your hardware can play.

For  data storage etc i would say that the +RW may be slightly better as it offers faster writing, better internal linking and support for drag-and-drop desktop files. (Although if storing data perhaps you don't need the RW discs and could go for the - or + R?)

If you do authoring and often edit DVD files, the main differences between the two is that with +RW you don't need to finalise the DVD to be able to read it.
